Moving On

Well, getting ready for vacation with the family. Can't wait to spend some quality time with Alison, Ollie and Adison. Headed to the Cape for 2 weeks to sit back and do nothing! Time to work on the golf game a little bit and get ready to for the NFL season and see if my Jets can do some work this fall!

Saturday Morning

Well, its here......finally. Up with the family right now, no such thing as sleeping in on game day.....or on any day when you have a 3 year and 11 month old. We're staying in West Annapolis, literally a 2 minute walk to the stadium. Our gracious hosts (the Branigans/aka Leslie Turner (Kip's sister) & her husband Chris & their son Merrick) have. Wonderful home and let the Daye's take it over for the weekend.

Having my 2nd cup of coffee as I get ready for my 8:15 pick up from our VP Mark Kastrud as we're heading to the team breakfast. We'll cover some last things, eat some grub and then get ready for our 9:45 bus to the stadium.

Soon........can't wait!

Friday night

Had a great team gathering tonight at the Smith's in Annapolis, a big thank you to Jodie & Walt for providing a great spread for the guys.

B Walk (our equip mgr) was recognized by the team for all of his hard work and the great job he has done this season.

Lastly, I had some tees made up for the boys with the slogan "60 Minutes" on the back. Bottom line, we play like we're capable of playing for 60 minutes and no one can run with us.

Weekend

Going over my final prep today, watching some more film tonight then getting ready for the trip to Annapolis bright & early tomorrow morning. The whole Daye family is traveling......should be fun!!!

Playoff Roster

Gina & Acasia explaining a 3v3 small side of the game drill; OvD. Learning a lot about the women's game (especially since I have future players!). It's similar in terms of concepts; clear space, dodge, balance the field, communication, etc. Understanding the rules is the thing I need most he'll with though!

Teaching some goalies out at PC Lax girls specialty camps in Dartmouth, MA. I'm running the goalies, Gina Oliver is running the defense & Acasia Walker is running the offense. This staff is unbelievable, the top players & coaches from the top programs (Northwestern, Syracuse, Umass, Denver, etc ). Kristen Kjellman (sorry if I butchered) from Nike was down for the morning & afternoon sessions.

Washington

Cannons camp starts on Thursday, check in is from 11-1, if you haven't already signed up there is still room! Part of camp is coming to watch us play Washington on Thursday night for our last regular season game prior to the playoffs. The guys are fired up, lots of email chatter going around as we need to play smart disciplined lacrosse and finish on a positive note. Expecting a big crowd, it should be fun!
